Pouf

Pouf

Have I mentioned before that I have a slight addiction to Etsy?  It’s a site where you can go to buy and sell items, many of which are handmade or antique.  One of my recent purchases was this custom pouf (pillow/ottoman) from the shop Aletafae.  I heart my new pouf!  My sitting area by the fireplace was a smidge cramped with a massive coffee table taking up most of the space.  Again, with little babe on the way I’m searching for any possible ways to maximize the little space we do have.  I thought the pouf would be perfect because I can just toss it out of the way so little babe has an area to play.  Husband fought me on keeping the coffee table.  I just can’t get rid of the darn thing….it’s got a sentimental place in my heart.  It was the first piece of furniture I ever purchased and I just can’t part with it.  So it sits in the man cave (aka garage) against my husbands wishes.

Once I got the pouf I thought my sitting area was complete.  So I decided to use the area to work one morning.  Nooooo……where in sam’s heck do I put my coffee mug?! (Yes, I am a pregnant woman who drinks coffee.  Don’t judge me.  It is one of the only vices I have left in my world).  So I had to go on another search for a small side table.  Oh, but poop….where would my massive collection of magazines go?!  (In the trash if husband had anything to do with it).  I needed a dual purpose side table/magazine holder.  Eureka!  I found this tea table with magazine rack on amazon for under 40 buck.  What a deal.  I was going to re-finish it because it honestly looks ugly online, but it looks much better in person.

So new space saving sitting area is all complete….done and done!
